The history of Vilniaus Pergale— AB dates back to the foundation of the confectionery factory Pergal?— in 1952. At the moment, Vilniaus Pergale— AB is the confectionery factory that produces the widest variety of products in the Baltic States.

“Opera” is Vilniaus Pergale’s bittersweet chocolate bar containing 70% cocoa solids. It is made with cocoa butter and other vegetable fats. The flavor is not impressive: very low acidity, some weak spicy notes, almondy, and little bitterness.

AJ Šokoladas is one of the best chocolate praline makers in Lithuania. Their factory is located in Trakai, and they have shops in Vilnius, Kaunas and Klaipeda where you can buy pralines and truffles in addition to hot chocolate, coffee, and delicious cakes. In addition to the more or less standard praline flavourings they have also pralines filled with blue cheese filling, which in my opinion is delicious, but some people don’t like it. Absolutely recommended!
